Summer: A Season of Growth In the fall of 2022, I was in the midst of uncertainty. There had been unexpected changes and turmoil. It felt like being in the middle of a storm, cloudy and hard to navigate. I couldn’t see through it—but God could! During that time, I was reminded that even the hard places in life can have purpose. In fact, difficult seasons are often perfectly suited to help us grow and prepare us for what’s ahead. The words of Isaiah 54:2, “enlarge your tent…” became a grounding promise. I was being stretched and shaped for something new. In 2024, as North Light Ministry moved into the Rapid City neighborhood, all we had was a tent. It became our way of being present with the community during local events. When people asked where we were located, we’d smile and say, “Right here—in the tent.” 2025 R.C.
